Children's Program

Incoming 5th graders are invited to participate in a summer book club. The book discussed at the July 12th meeting will be "Zoo At The Edge of The World" by Eric Kahn Gale. Lunch will be provided. Books can be picked up at the Fort Recovery Library.

Incoming 6th graders are invited to participate in a summer book club. The book discussed at the June 14th meeting will be "Fuzzy Mudd" by Louis Sachar. Lunch will be provided. Books can be picked up at the Fort Recovery Library.

Incoming 5th graders are invited to participate in a summer book club. The book discussed at the June 14th meeting will be "Lawn Boy" by Gary Paulsen. Lunch will be provided. Books can be picked up at the Fort Recovery Library.

Students from Fort Recovery and Coldwater will participate in a Battle of Books at 6:30 PM at Coldwater Public Library. Teams of students from 4th, 5th, and 6th grades read books from a selected list and are prepared to answer questions about the books in a trivia style competition to see who will win. The public is invited to the competition. 

The library is hosting a BINGO hour for kids ages Pre - k through 5th grades at 1:30 PM. This is a free event. Come join in on the fun!

We are looking for adventurers to be "Raiders of the Lost Locker". Join us at the Library with your team of 6-8 members as we race against the clock and solve the clues to Unlock The Box. Call today at 419-375-2869 to reserve a time for your team on February, 16th, 18th, 19th, or 21st. 

The Library's Music Time program for babies and preschool-age children, accompanied by a parent or guardian, will be offered again on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, beginning Tuesday, February 1, 2022.  This 6-week program includes finger plays, music, and movement, for both the child independently and parent/child interaction. Anyone is welcome to attend this free program. For more information, contact the Library at 419-375-2869. 

The Library is giving away Kiwi Crate STEM kits on Monday, October 11, 2021, to FR Library cardholders. The kits will be given on a first-come, first-served basis and no holds will be permitted. A Max of 2 kits per family will be given.

The Friends of the Library is once again sponsoring a Pumpkin Painting event at the Library. Dates for the Event are October 2, October 4, and October 5. The cost is $2.00 per pumpkin. There will be no charge for Friends of the Library members. Pre-registration is required by calling the Library at 419-375-2869. 

The Battle Of The Books Competition between Fort Recovery students in grades 4-6 and Coldwater students will take place at 6:30 PM in the Fort Recovery Elementary/Middle School Auditeria.
