The Friends of the Library is hosting a Pumpkin Painting for children, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the library. There will be two sessions: Session 1: 6:00 - 6:45 PM; Session 2: 7:00 - 7:45 PM. Letterboxing for Kids - A Low-Tech Treasure Hunt: Discover how letterboxing started and how you can involve the family. Program will be hosted by the Friends of the Library on Tues., Nov. 11, 6:30 pm at the library. Also learn how to make your own stamp, the artistic aspect of the letterboxing experience. Hal McCoy, author of “The Real McCoy” and sports writer for the Cincinnati Reds, will be coming to town Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30 PM. This free event, sponsored by the Fort Recovery Friends of the Library, is open to the public and will be held at the Fort Recovery Middle/Elementary School Auditeria. Don’t miss the chance to hear Mr. McCoy speak about his life covering Major League Baseball and specifically his experiences with the Cincinnati Reds.
