Story Time
Babies through preschool aged children and a parent or guardian are invited to join us for Story Time at the Library. Story Times are held Tuesdays at 6:15 PM and Fridays at 10:30 AM, October through April. A full calendar is available for upcoming Story Times. No registration is required.

Chair Yoga

The public is invited to the Fort Recovery Library for “An Introduction to Yoga” on select Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 - 3:10 PM beginning Wednesday, September 20. This basic introduction includes simple seated (chair) poses and standing poses which do not require a mat. For more information, please contact the Library at 419-375-2869.

Bigfoot Presentation

Doug Waller, an Ohio resident and founder of the Southeastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation, will be at the Library for a presentation on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 6:00 pm. The purpose of the organization is to provide a safe, open forum for Bigfoot believers and eyewitnesses. Anyone is welcome to join us for this free presentation sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The Friends of the Library will be hosting a Pumpkin Painting evening at the Fort Recovery Public Library on Tuesday, October 10th. There will be three sessions for patrons to choose from and the cost for the event is $1.00 per child. There is no charge for members of the Friends of the Library. Each session runs for 45 minutes and the beginning times are 4:30 PM, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Please pre-register for this event by calling the Library at 419-375-2869. 

Used Book Sale

The Friends of the Library will be hosting a used book sale at the Library Monday, October 16th – Saturday, October 21st. A nice selection of used books, audio books and DVDs will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale are used to purchase materials and equipment for the Library.

Book Cover, "Thousand Dollar Baseball" by Judy BrunsJoin the Fort Recovery Friends of the Library for a visit with author, Judy Bruns and illustrator, Kathy Salyer Ayers on Monday, November 6th at 6:30 PM. They will share their picture story book about a neighborhood baseball game that took place in Fort Recovery years ago...a game not soon forgotten. Baseball enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Join our "Holiday Hijinks" and help us unlock the box at the Library to Help the Gnome get home for the Festival of Trees! Groups of 6 will work together to solve a series of puzzles to find clues to open a locked box before time runs out. Suggested ages are students 2nd grade to 6th grade, but all are welcome. Registration is required to participate in this free activity.
