Author Jess Montgomery will be visiting the library on Tuesday, October 17th, to discuss "The Echoes", the fourth book in the Kinship Historical Mysteries. Under her given name, Sharon Short, the author writes a column for Writer's Digest and was formerly a newspaper columnist for the Dayton Daily News. Feel free to bring purchased copies of the book for Jess to sign!

Join us as we create a personal succulent garden with Jenni Smith of Be You Floral. All materials and instruction are provided and the cost of the event is $20 per person. Join us for Story Time at the Fort Recovery Library. Story time sessions are held on Tuesday evenings at 6:15 PM and on Friday mornings at 10:30 AM, October through April. Babies through preschoolers are welcome with a parent or guardian. Story times last approximately 45 minutes and often include a simple craft or activity.

Kathy Jutte, former FR resident and middle school teacher, will be visiting the library on Tuesday, November 14th at 6:00 PM for a book signing of her book, "and we're testing your son for down syndrome". Kathy has written her experience with raising a child with Down Syndrome and shares how Matt taught everyone around him to see through the eyes of unconditional love. This event is free and open to the public. 

Join us at the library as we learn the art of stop-motion animation with Alex Thomas and Friends, STEAM program instructors from Michigan. This program will teach students of all ages how to use stop-motion animation to create animated scenes with puppets and other materials. Space is limited to 20 participants ages 8 and older. Pre-registration is required for this free event by calling the library at 419-375-2869. The Stop-Motion Animation Workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. 

The Library will be hosting a Used Book Sale during normal business hours, October 23rd - October 28th. Materials for the book sale are being accepted at the library. Used materials in good condition will be accepted. The library is unable to take textbooks, magazines, VHS tapes, and reference materials. Free will offerings are accepted for any items chosen from the sale.
