Share your creative side during Crafts at the Library on Friday, July 13th at 10:30 AM. Kids can participate in some fun craft activities during the Summer Reading Program, "Libraries Rock!"

Babies through preschoolers are invited to join us for Story Time, Tuesday, July 17, at 6:15 PM at the Library. Come enjoy books and crafts during our Summer Reading Program, "Libraries Rock!"

Join us for our own version of an "escape room" - Unlock The Box! The Band has gone to a campground for Band Camp and their music is missing. Can you help this band avoid a "Band Camp Calamity"? Register a group of 6 (kids and adults are invited) to help solve this mystery and save the Band Camp. Times are available July 6, 7, and 9. Learn to crochet, learn new stitches, or swap patterns at the Fort Recovery Library with a small crochet club that will meet Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM, beginning Tuesday, September 11. Clarence Torkelson of Berne, IN will be at the Fort Recovery Public Library on Tuesday, September 11^th at 6:00 pm, to share how he was involved in the life-size Noah’s Ark project in Williamstown, KY. The Ark Encounter is a family-friendly attraction that shows the vast size of Noah’s Ark, an introduction to Noah’s family, displays of the animals and more. The public is invited to this free presentation by Mr. Torkelson to learn more about this incredible project.

FREE (Forum of Resources on Elder Education) of Mercer County is organized with the mission to educate the aging community, their children and caregivers through their transition through life. Presentations will be held throughout the county on a regular basis for the purposes of education. 

The Library will be closed Monday, September 3, 2018 to observe Labor Day. We will reopen at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 4.

The Friends of the Library will be hosting a Pumpkin Painting evening at the Fort Recovery Public Library on Tuesday, October 9th. There will be three sessions for patrons to choose from, and the cost for the event is $1.00 per child. There is no charge for members of the Friends of the Library. Each session runs for 45 minutes and the beginning times are 4:30 PM, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Please pre-register for this event by calling the Library at 419-375-2869. 

Minding the Business While Changing the World: Reporting and Fiduciary Responsibilities - 

The Mercer County Council on Aging will have a representative at the Library on Tuesday, October 23, from 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM to work individually with patrons to help determine the best Medicare Enrollment and Part D Comparisons. These sessions are designed to help educate the public on health care insurance options for seniors.
