Story Time
Babies through preschool aged children and a parent or guardian are invited to join us for Story Time at the Library. Story Times are held Tuesdays at 6:15 PM and Fridays at 10:30 AM, October through April. A full calendar is available for upcoming Story Times. No registration is required.

The Mercer County Council on Aging (MCCOA) will be available at the Library by appointment Tuesday, November 12th from 1:00 PM - 6:30 PM to discuss Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan Comparisons. To schedule an appointment, call the MCCOA at 419-586-1644. You will need your current insurance cards and a listing of your medications for your scheduled meeting.

Magic of the Monarch Butterflies

Mandy Martin, a naturalist for the Darke County Parks, will be at the Library on Tuesday, October 29th at 6:00 PM to give a special presentation about Monarch Butterflies. Come listen to this free presentation and learn more about these magnificent, and delicate creatures.

Join us for “Santa’s Ornament and Games Workshop” at the Fort Recovery Public Library on Monday, November 4th. Take advantage of early release at school and enjoy a holiday activity before the hustle and bustle of the season begins. Kids will be able to craft a holiday ornament to take home and one to place on a tree that will be displayed at the Fort Festival of Trees held at the Library December 9 – 31, 2019. Fort Recovery's own Alex Meiring will visit the Fort Recovery Library on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 7:00 PM to share his experiences investigating paranormal activity. Alex has visited many places that have been suspected of being haunted. He will share his findings at this free presentation sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Run, Turkey, Run; An Unlock The Box Adventure

Come join us for a New "Unlock The Box" challenge November 23rd - November 30th. Help the turkey before he gets gobbled up on Thanksgiving! Novels at Night, an evening book club sponsored by the Friends of the Library, meets every 3rd Monday of the month at the Library at 7:00 pm. Titles for the book discussions are provided through the Library. These discussions are free and open to the public. The Library's Music Time program for babies and preschool-age children, accompanied by a parent or guardian, will be offered again on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM beginning Wednesday, January 15, 2020.  This 6-week program includes finger plays, music, and movement, for both the child independently and parent/child interaction.
